Meet Dr. Jason Streem

Jason M. Streem, D.D.S., M.S.D.

Dr. Jason Streem is a specialist in periodontics with expertise in periodontal disease, implantology, bone regeneration, soft tissue grafting, smoking cessation and conscious sedation.

Dr. Streem is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology and Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.

 

Dr. Streem is a native Clevelander and is a graduate of Beachwood High School. He attended Columbia University earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Dr. Streem earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he served as the International Student Representative for the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.

 

Following dental school, Dr. Streem was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He completed his General Practice Residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.  It was there that Dr. Streem was part of the team that provided definitive surgical care for those Sailors and Marines who returned home from Operation Iraqi Freedom with trauma injuries to the head and neck. In July 2006, Dr. Streem reported to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction FIVE (NMCB-5) in Port Hueneme, CA.  He served with the Seabees as the Battalion Dental Officer and Dental Department Head and developed a robust health promotions program including a strong smoking cessation program while completing six-month deployments to both Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Okinawa, Japan in support of naval pacific operations. For his service, Dr. Streem was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Following his honorable discharge from the naval service, Dr. Streem completed his residency in periodontics, served as Chief Resident and earned a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia.

 

Dr. Streem is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.


Dr. Streem is married to Dr. Mindy Streem who is an orthodontist in Solon, Ohio.  They enjoy spending time with their one year old son, Sam.
