Dr. Jason Streem is a board certified specialist in periodontics & dental implant surgery with expertise in periodontal disease, peri-implant disease, bone regeneration, soft tissue grafting, smoking cessation and conscious sedation. He became board certified by the American Board of Periodontology in June 2012 by completing significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty.  Dr. Streem has been part of the Periodontal Associates, Inc. team since 2011, and he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Streem is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Greater Cleveland Dental Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Ohio Academy of Periodontists, and currently on the executive committee of the Cleveland chapter of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.  In addition, Dr. Streem is a Life Member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America  and the SEABEE Historical Foundation.  He has been a sitting member on the Council on Dental Care Practice and Dental Programs of the Ohio Dental Association and was the chairman of the Membership Committee and the New Dentist Subcommittee of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society. Currently, Dr. Streem is the President of the Capital Club of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society which coordinates grassroots efforts to lobby Ohio State legislators to benefit the dental health of Ohioans. 

Dr. Streem is a native Clevelander and is the son and grandson of dentists.  He is a graduate of Beachwood High School and Columbia University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.  Dr. Streem earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005 from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he served as the International Student Representative for the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.

Following dental school, Dr. Streem was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.  It was there that Dr. Streem was part of the team that provided definitive surgical care for those sailors and marines who returned home from Iraq and Afghanistan with trauma injuries to the head and neck.  In July 2006, Dr. Streem reported to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FIVE (NMCB-5) in Ventura County, California where he served with the Seabees as their Battalion Dental Officer and Dental Department Head.  He completed six-month deployments to both Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Okinawa, Japan in support of naval pacific operations.  For his service, Dr. Streem was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.

Following his Honorable Discharge from the naval service, Dr. Streem completed a residency in periodontics, served as Chief Resident and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry degree at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Streem is married to Dr. Mindy Streem, a Harvard and Michigan-trained Orthodontist and boy-mom. They enjoy spending time with their two sons, three dogs and cat.
